I am a Cuban born artist raised in Miami Beach Florida. As far as I remember I was always an artist. I first discovered that I can be a “real” artist at an early age when I attended the Center for Expressive Arts during my school years. After graduating from Miami Beach Sr. High, I attended the Rhode Island School of Design and graduated with a BFA in Illustration in 1988. I then attended the master’s program at the NYU Tisch School and focussed on Set Design. I worked as a set designer in Theatre and Television for 12 years in NYC on Broadway and Television shows which included Showboat and Saturday Night Live. Simultaneously, I also was part of the stable of artists at The Stricoff Gallery in Soho from 1992-2002. There I had 3 one man shows and over 10 group shows. My work has been exhibited worldwide including shows in New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Japan, and Ghent. I have recently moved back to Florida and feel honored to show my work again in Miami ( A city that I love and that inspires me once again to create my art and especially to show it to the people).
