The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is proud to welcome four exceptional new members to its Board of Directors, each bringing a distinct blend of expertise, community connection, and dedication to the organization’s mission.
Isabella Aedo is a recent law school graduate currently preparing for the bar exam, with plans to join the Public Defender’s Office this August. Her commitment to public service and advocacy reflects the spirit of community engagement that has long defined the Festival’s leadership.
Illine Davila serves as President of the Women’s Club of Coconut Grove and works as a Realtor with deep roots in the community. Her longstanding ties to the neighborhood and her leadership within local civic organizations make her a natural fit for the board’s mission of connecting the Festival to the broader Grove community.
Carl Levin, founder of Carl Levine Architecture & Design, brings a remarkable creative and civic vision to the board. His background in design and architecture offers a valuable perspective as the Festival continues to as the Festival continues to shape how it fits into the Grove’s streets and architecture.
Thomas Korge III is an attorney and longtime Festival volunteer whose dedication to the event has been evident for years. His firsthand experience supporting the Festival from the ground up gives him a unique understanding of what it takes to bring this beloved annual tradition to life.
“What makes this announcement particularly meaningful is that none of these four are newcomers to our mission,” said CGAF Board Chair Pamela Mayer. “Each has been volunteering with the Festival for years, building relationships within our community, and developing a firsthand understanding of what it takes to bring this event to life year after year. Seeing them step into formal leadership roles is a true reflection of the deep roots the Coconut Grove Arts Festival has in Coconut Grove.”
According to the CGAF Executive Director Camille Marchese a nonprofit’s board of directors carries the responsibility of guiding the organization’s mission, finances, and long-term direction — from setting strategic priorities and overseeing budgets to ensuring accountability and building the relationships that sustain the organization for the long term.
“As an engaged, dedicated board we endeavor to bring expertise, credibility, and continuity that strengthen an organization at every level,” she continued, “and that is especially true for an institution like the Coconut Grove Arts Festival, which depends on the passion and commitment of its volunteer leadership year after year”
Together, CGAF’s four new board members represent a powerful infusion of talent, perspective, and dedication — and the Festival looks forward to the contributions each will make in the years ahead.
