Long-time supporter of the Miami-Dade League of Cities, Coconut Grove Arts Festival President Emeritus Monty Trainer was honored by the MDLC Board of Directors at their Nov. 7 meeting.
Monty has a been prominent figure in the Greater Miami arts community, serving as President of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival and in multiple other community leadership capacities throughout the region. With decades of dedication to the festival, Monty has played a pivotal role in the evolution of one of the nation’s top outdoor art events, celebrating local and international artists, fostering arts education, and enriching Miami’s cultural landscape. His leadership and vision have made the festival a beloved annual tradition that draws thousands, showcasing Coconut Grove as a vibrant hub for art, creativity, and community connection.
